A Toast to Creativity: Our Sold-Out Workshop at Rec Room Brewery
Last Tuesday was something special. We hosted our latest embroidery workshop at the cozy and always welcoming Rec Room Brewery, and we’re still buzzing from the energy (and maybe a bit of the beer). The event sold out, and the room was filled with a beautiful blend of creativity, community, and conversation.
We kicked things off with a quick meditation to help everyone settle in, focusing on the power of community—something we’ve all come to deeply value. Then, we shared a gentle, grounding reading from The Poetry Pharmacy, setting the tone for a mindful, inspiring afternoon.
As people began to order their favorite drinks from the bar, they also got their hands on the kits we had thoughtfully prepared for them. Each kit included everything they needed to dive into the world of cross stitch: a unique pattern, four vibrant colors of embroidery floss, Aida cloth, an embroidery hoop, a needle, a needle threader, and a card with simple instructions to get started.
Watching everyone open their kits, sip their drinks, and get stitching was pure magic. Some attendees were first-timers, while others had experience, but there was something about the atmosphere—warm, laid-back, and full of laughter—that brought everyone together.
We’re so grateful for everyone who came out, and to Rec Room for being such a perfect host. If you missed this one, don’t worry—there are more workshops on the horizon. Until then, keep stitching and supporting local!
Warmly,
Mayi Poley
